The short version
Mindtiq has no ads and you don’t need an account. Without an account, everything you type into the app — tasks, goals, habits, notes and progress — stays on your own device. If you choose to sign in with Google, your progress is also saved to your account so it syncs between devices. We never sell your data.
What is stored on your device
The app saves your data in your browser’s local storage so it is still there next time you open Mindtiq. You can download a backup or delete everything from the Me tab. Clearing your browser data also deletes it.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional. When you do, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and we store your Mindtiq progress (the same data as on your device) linked to your account. This lets you keep your streak and use Mindtiq on several devices.
- Where: accounts and synced data are stored with Supabase on servers in Stockholm, Sweden (EU).
- The sign-in button: while you’re not signed in, the app shows Google’s own “Continue with Google” button, which loads from Google’s servers.
- Who can see it: only you. The database only lets each account read its own data.
- Email: we only send you focus tips if you tick “Send me one focus tip a week”. You can untick it anytime in the app.
- Deleting: use Delete account in the Me tab to remove your account and all synced data immediately. Your copy on the device stays until you reset it.
The legal basis is the agreement to provide the service you asked for (sync) and, for tip emails, your consent.
If you buy Mindtiq Pro
Payments are handled by Stripe, which sells Pro on our behalf as merchant of record (the checkout says “Sold through Link”). You enter your payment details directly with Stripe — we never see or store your card. Stripe handles the payment, VAT and receipts under its own privacy policy.
From Stripe we receive, linked to your Mindtiq account: a customer ID, which plan you chose, whether the subscription is active and when it renews or ends. We use this only to switch Pro on and off. The legal basis is the agreement to provide Pro. We keep subscription records for as long as accounting rules require.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It does not use cookies, does not track you across websites and does not build a profile of you. We only see aggregated numbers.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.
Fonts
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers when you open the site.
If you email us, we use your email address only to reply.
Who runs Mindtiq
Mindtiq is run by Ontrackz Productions Stockholm AB (org. no. 559465-9368), Stockholm, Sweden, which is responsible for your personal data (data controller). Contact: hello@mindtiq.com.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, get a copy, correct it or have it deleted. You can download a copy of your progress and delete your account yourself in the app. For questions, contact hello@mindtiq.com.
Changes
If we add features that change how data is handled, we will update this page before they go live.
Mindtiq is a productivity tool, not a medical product.
